We are representing a global leader in corporate relocations, office moves, and employee mobility management, trusted by multinationals to move people, workplaces, and critical assets across 80+ countries. For decades, we’ve been in the room when companies transform — during mergers, expansions, closures, and data centre migrations.
The team is now using that trusted access to establish and scale a dedicated E-Waste Recycling & IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) department. This new business unit helps our clients solve the next problem that follows every move: how to securely, compliantly, and sustainably retire thousands of IT assets without risk to data, brand, or ESG commitments.
Backed by its global logistics infrastructure and existing enterprise relationships, you will help build this department from the ground up into a market-leading ITAD platform.
As Business Development Executive, you are the commercial architect for our new ITAD & E-Waste department. Your mandate is to establish market presence, win anchor clients, and expand revenue across APAC by turning our move management footprint into a competitive advantage.
You will sell to CIOs, CISOs, ESG Heads, and Procurement leaders who already know our brand from relocation projects. Your pitch: one trusted partner to move the office and to securely dispose of the tech left behind — with full chain-of-custody, data destruction certificates, value recovery, and ESG reporting.
This is a rare founder-style sales role inside a global company. You will influence service design, pricing, and partnerships while owning your number.
Key Responsibilities
Establish & Expand the ITAD Department
- Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy to launch and scale e-waste collection, certified data destruction, IT asset remarketing, and zero-landfill recycling services.
- Build the department’s first major revenue streams by converting existing move management clients with decommissioning, tech refresh, and data centre exit projects.
- Drive monthly and quarterly sales targets for the new business unit across B2B enterprise, hyperscale, government, and manufacturing segments.
- Create a repeatable sales playbook: prospecting, qualification, proposal, and implementation for ITAD services bundled with or adjacent to moves.
Strategic Business Development & Sales
- Maintain a robust, qualified pipeline through account mapping of our install base, targeted outreach, LinkedIn engagement, and industry networking.
- Deliver compelling solution presentations and workshops that connect data security, regulatory compliance, ESG reporting, and asset value recovery.
- Conduct market research to identify industries and accounts with high ITAD demand: cloud providers, banks, healthcare, education, and electronics OEMs.
- Lead RFP responses and negotiations for multi-year ITAD programmes, protecting margin while winning against specialist ITAD firms.
Client Relationship & Programme Design
- Build long-term partnerships with IT, Information Security, Sustainability, and Procurement stakeholders.
- Translate client requirements into tailored programmes covering secure logistics, on-site data erasure, off-site processing, resale revenue share, and carbon reporting.
- Own commercial proposals and SLAs. Ensure pricing aligns with company policy and reflects the risk/value of data-bearing assets.
- Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, and certified processing partners to guarantee flawless execution and audit-ready documentation.
Market Intelligence & Service Evolution
- Track e-waste regulations, data protection laws, and ESG disclosure frameworks across APAC: R2v3, e-Stewards, NIST 800-88, GDPR, PDPA, CSRD.
- Monitor trends in circular economy, battery disposal, AI hardware refresh, and Scope 3 emissions reporting. Feed insights to leadership to shape service roadmap.
- Identify new segments and service extensions: data centre decommissions, lab equipment, solar panel recycling, EV infrastructure end-of-life.
Partnerships, Advocacy & Reporting
- Develop alliances with NGOs, sustainability consultants, OEM take-back schemes, and R2-certified downstream recyclers to extend capability and credibility.
- Represent the company at ITAD, data centre, facilities, and ESG conferences to establish thought leadership and generate pipeline.
- Track and report on department KPIs: revenue, pipeline, tonnes diverted from landfill, CO2e avoided, asset value returned, and client CSAT.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Move Management, Finance, and Legal to launch the department successfully.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in B2B sales or business development. Background in ITAD, e-waste recycling, IT services, data centres, logistics, or sustainability solutions strongly preferred.
- Solid grasp of e-waste compliance, data sanitisation standards, and circular economy principles. Familiarity with corporate relocations, office closures, and data centre operations is a strong advantage given our parent business.
- Consultative, enterprise-level selling to technical and non-technical buyers. Excellent negotiation, proposal writing, and executive presentation skills. Ability to sell both risk mitigation and financial return.
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated. Comfortable with ambiguity and building a business unit from early stage. Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Logistics, IT, or related field.
- Willingness to travel regionally for client sites, audits, and industry events. Passion for sustainability, data security, and creating new revenue streams.
