We are working with one of the building and facility automation company that provides smart control systems to monitor and optimize HVAC, energy use, and other building operations for better efficiency and performance in their search for a Director, Solution Architecture to be based here in Singapore
Key responsibilities:
- Lead pre-sales solution design for global hyperscalers, data center operators, and AI infrastructure clients.
- Manage the full technical sales cycle from requirements discovery, solution architecture, POC demonstrations, through technical negotiations.
- Act as the key technical advisor to CTO/CIO/VP-level stakeholders, translating complex Physical AI capabilities into clear business value.
- Work directly with data center Operations, Design and Hyperscaler technical teams to understand infrastructure and integration requirements.
- Design integration strategies around existing BMS/DCIM environments, particularly across power, cooling, fire protection and monitoring systems.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, R&D and Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions can be successfully implemented.
- Capture client requirements, industry trends and competitor intelligence, and feed insights back to Product/R&D to improve the platform.
- Support global customers and industry activities across APAC, Middle East and North America, including client meetings, delivery support, seminars and technical events.
Key qualifications:
- 5+ years in Solution Architecture, Pre-Sales Engineering or Technology Consulting.
- At least 3 years of pre-sales solution design experience within Data Centers, AI Infrastructure or Industrial Energy Efficiency.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including UPS/HVDC, air/liquid cooling and redundancy such as N, N+1 and 2N.
- Good knowledge of BMS, DCIM, PUE and DCiE; Physical AI / industrial AI / AI-driven energy optimization exposure is preferred.
- Familiarity with GPU clusters, HPC and AI factories; NVIDIA DGX/HGX/Blackwell/Vera Rubin experience is advantageous.
- Able to independently lead complex technical engagements and present/negotiate with C-level customers.
- Fluent English and Mandarin are required, particularly to communicate with global clients and China-based R&D teams.
- Singapore-based with willingness to travel globally; this is an Individual Contributor Director-level role with no direct reports.
