We are representing a design-and-build firm specialising in commercial office interiors, from pre-lease advisory and design through to full fit-out, reinstatement and relocation. Their projects span Singapore and the region, delivered with precision, purpose and a people-centric mindset.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drafter to support the project team in producing accurate technical drawings, working drawings, and as-built documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in design-and-build or builder-led fit-out projects and be comfortable collaborating across design, engineering and site teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and update CAD drawings (schematics, floor plans, sections, elevations, detail drawings) to support interior fit-out and build-out works.
- Generate as-built drawings, site measurement take-offs, and coordinate revisions based on change orders or site feedback.
- Work with project managers, design leads and engineers to ensure drawings comply with scope, specification, building codes, and client requirements.
- Liaise with site team, subcontractors and suppliers to verify dimensions, details and installation requirements.
- Maintain drawing libraries, version control and ensure deliverables are issued on time and to quality standards.
- Support production of presentation materials (e.g., layout options, visuals) where required.
- Assist in coordination of MEP, architectural and structural interfaces with sufficient awareness of build-up, materials and systems common to interior construction.
Key qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Building Construction or related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ drafting experience; candidates with more extensive experience in fit-out or builder project backgrounds will be considered for senior Drafter level.
- Proven experience in a design-and-build or construction environment, ideally with fit-out, commercial interior or builder project context.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with tools such as SketchUp, Revit, or 3D visualisation software is a plus.
- Good understanding of construction methods, interior systems (partitions, ceilings, MEP penetrations, finishes) and site-based coordination.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines and multiple revisions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills; capable of working independently when required and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
