We are representing a global hyperscale data centre operator in looking for a sharp, hands-on Finance Controller to own the financial backbone of our fast-scaling data centre operations. You’ll ensure we stay financially disciplined and audit-ready while enabling bold, capital-intensive growth. As Finance Controller, you’ll lead end-to-end financial control for our data centre portfolio. You’ll safeguard financial integrity, drive compliance, and partner with leadership to make high-stakes investment decisions. This is a critical role for someone who combines technical accounting depth with the commercial mindset needed in a rapidly evolving, asset-heavy business.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Control & Compliance
- Direct all accounting operations: general ledger, AP/AR, and fixed assets for high-value data centre infrastructure
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS/GAAP, local tax laws, and industry regulations
- Design and enforce robust internal controls and risk frameworks across all finance processes
Reporting & External Engagement
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with speed and accuracy
- Deliver board-ready financial statements and management reporting that drive decisions
- Manage external audits and serve as primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, and regulators
Planning & Performance
- Partner with FP&A to build budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses that reflect operational reality
- Track performance vs. targets and provide clear, actionable insights to executive stakeholders
- Support business cases for new site builds, expansions, and strategic initiatives
Capital & Asset Stewardship
- Govern CapEx lifecycle: track spend, ensure correct capitalization, and manage depreciation for data centre assets
- Drive cost discipline and ROI analysis on infrastructure projects and long-term investments
- Partner with operations and engineering to align financial planning with build schedules
Treasury & Liquidity
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships to support continuous expansion
- Lead liquidity planning and optimize debt/equity structures for large-scale projects
Systems & Transformation
- Champion automation and process improvement across the finance function
- Lead finance workstreams for ERP implementations and upgrades – SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar
- Build scalable processes that grow with the business

Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent required
- 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years as a Controller or senior accounting leader
- Expert knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks
- Hands-on proficiency with ERP systems – SAP, Oracle, NetSuite – and advanced financial reporting tools
- Proven ability to manage audits, close cycles, and technical accounting in complex environments
- Direct experience in data centres, real estate, energy, or infrastructure sectors
- Track record managing large CapEx programs and fixed-asset-intensive businesses
- Strategic thinker who solves problems before they hit the P&L
