We are representing a up and coming hyperscale data centre operator to look for an Investment Manager. The Investment Manager will play a critical role in driving the company’s expansion strategy across Southeast Asia, leading end-to-end investment execution for hyperscale data centre developments, platform acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. This role requires a strong blend of commercial acumen, technical understanding of digital infrastructure, and the ability to independently build and manage complex financial models from first principles.


Key Responsibilities
Investment Origination & Strategy
- Identify and evaluate new market entry opportunities across Southeast Asia (e.g., Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines).
- Develop investment theses aligned with hyperscale demand trends, cloud adoption, and AI infrastructure growth.
- Build strategic partnerships with local developers, utilities, and government stakeholders.
End-to-End Deal Execution
- Lead full transaction lifecycle including origination, underwriting, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and execution.
- Manage cross-border deal processes and coordinate with legal, tax, and technical advisors.
Financial Modelling (Core Requirement)
- Build robust, fully integrated financial models from scratch (no templates) for greenfield developments, acquisitions, and platform investments.
- Model key components including capex, power ramp-up, leasing assumptions, operating costs, financing structures, and exit scenarios.
- Conduct sensitivity, scenario, and risk analysis to support investment decisions.
Capital Allocation & Structuring
- Design optimal capital structures across equity, debt, and JV partnerships.
- Support capital raising activities, including preparation of investor materials and data room management.
Market & Technical Analysis
- Evaluate site feasibility including power availability, land constraints, fiber connectivity, and regulatory environment.
- Work closely with technical teams to align investment assumptions with engineering and operational realities.
Investment Committee & Board Engagement
- Prepare high-quality investment papers, IC memos, and Board presentations.
- Articulate complex opportunities into clear, data-driven recommendations.
Portfolio Management
- Monitor performance of active investments, including development milestones, budget tracking, and returns optimization.
- Support asset management strategies including refinancing, expansion, and exit planning.
Stakeholder Management
- Interface with hyperscale customers, joint venture partners, and internal stakeholders across functions.
- Maintain strong relationships with external advisors and capital partners.
Regional Expansion Leadership
- Contribute to building a scalable investment platform in Southeast Asia.
- Establish best practices for cross-border investment execution and governance.
Team Collaboration & Capability Building
- Work closely with internal teams across development, operations, and finance.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to building institutional investment capabilities.

Key Requirements:
- 6–10+ years of experience in infrastructure, real estate, or digital infrastructure investments.
- Demonstrated experience in data centres, energy, or adjacent infrastructure sectors preferred.
- Strong track record in executing cross-border transactions and managing complex deal processes.
- Advanced financial modelling capability – able to build detailed models from first principles independently.
- Experience engaging with Investment Committees and senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Southeast Asia markets and regulatory environments is highly advantageous.
