We are currently representing a Singapore based D&B firm, specialising in workplace design.
They are rapidly expanding in the SEA region, and are looking for a Lead Interior Designer to join their office in KL, Malaysia.
Key responsibility:
- Communicate with clients to determine their goals, needs, and budget for the interior design project as well as managing clients expectation. - Perform site survey, produce design concepts and space planning, including color schemes, materials, textures, and furniture layouts, that align with the client's vision and functional requirements.
- Produce detailed interior design plans, drawings, and brief 3D Visualizer team to render 3D perspective drawing.
- Source and select materials, furnishings, lighting fixtures, and accessories that enhance the overall design concept.
- Conduct presentation of design proposals and concepts to clients, incorporating their feedback and making revisions as necessary.
- Communicate and coordinate with contractors, partner vendors, building management, authorities and internal team to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Oversee installation and implementation of design elements, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Enhance design capabilities with updated industry trends, new materials, and emerging design technologies.
- Maintain accurate project documentation according to ISO requirements, including contracts, design specifications, and correspondence with clients and vendors.
- Ad hoc projects and duties assigned by supervisor.
Key qualifications:
- Extensive experience in leading interior design projects, particularly within the workplace or commercial sectors.
- Strong ability to develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically appealing design concepts tailored to client needs.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage design teams, budgets, timelines, and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Ability to provide solutions to complex design challenges while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
