We’re partnering an international project management consultancy based in Kuala Lumpur, which is partnering with one of the world’s leading hyperscale data centre operators. We’re looking for a hands-on Logistics Manager to be seconded to our client’s flagship campus in Johor — a mission-critical build with zero room for delay.

You’ll own the end-to-end logistics for high-value data centre equipment — from factory floor to final position — ensuring every piece arrives safe, preserved, and on schedule. You’ll be the bridge between OFCI vendors, contractors, construction teams, and client operations, driving clarity in an environment where downtime isn’t an option.

Key Responsibilities:
Equipment & Site Logistics
- Act as the primary logistics interface with the OFCI Manager and all equipment vendors. Coordinate delivery windows, access, and handovers to avoid site clashes
- Preserve critical assets: Implement and audit preservation plans for sensitive M&E equipment from arrival through installation
- Move it safely: Plan and supervise safe movement of all materials and equipment across site, from laydown to final install locations
- Right gear, right time: Forecast, coordinate, and confirm availability of all site logistics equipment — cranes, SPMTs, gantries, skates, etc.

Technical Oversight & Delivery
- Review & challenge lifting plans, method statements, and site logistics sequencing for OFCI and CFCI equipment. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and program requirements
- Lead logistics for DFMA equipment prefabricated offsite, plus CFCI items, ensuring seamless transition from factory acceptance to site install
- Manage phased logistics for the 6-stage handover at project completion. Align every stage with the client’s Operations team to de-risk go-live

Reporting & Stakeholder Management
 - Provide clear, timely reporting to the OFCI procurement team and wider project leadership using Microsoft Office — Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
- Maintain real-time visibility on equipment status, risks, and look-ahead logistics needs
- Champion Safety & Quality in every activity you review. Set the standard and ensure it’s delivered — no compromises

Key Requirements:
- Contractor or heavy M&E logistics background, ideally on data centres, semiconductor, power, or other mission-critical projects
- Proven experience coordinating OFCI/CFCI equipment, lifting operations, and multi-vendor site logistics
- Ability to read and interrogate lifting plans, rigging studies, and logistics method statements
- Strong planning skills with a track record of keeping complex, equipment-heavy projects on schedule
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite — you can build a clear report and present it to senior stakeholders
- Relentless focus on safety and quality, with the confidence to stop work if standards aren’t met
- Experience with hyperscale data centre builds or DFMA/modular construction
- Familiarity with Johor construction environment and local logistics providers
- Knowledge of equipment preservation standards for generators, UPS, chillers, transformers, etc.
