We’re representing a fast growing operator which is scaling hyperscale data centre platforms across APAC at speed. As Strategic Procurement Manager, you will architect and own the procurement strategy that underpins billions in capex delivery. This is not a tactical buying role. You’ll shape how we go to market, who we partner with, and how we secure capacity, cost certainty, and resilience in the world’s most supply-constrained region.

If you thrive on building from white space, influencing C-suite decisions, and turning vendor relationships into competitive advantage, this role puts you at the heart of our growth.

Why Us
We’re representing one of APAC’s fastest-growing hyperscale platforms with a bold capital plan and blue-chip customers. You’ll have a mandate to build, autonomy to negotiate, and direct impact on whether we deliver capacity on time for the cloud and AI economy.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Regional Procurement & Category Strategy
- Design and lead the end-to-end procurement strategy for hyperscale DC development across APAC — covering MEP equipment, long-lead items, construction services, power infrastructure, and professional services
- Develop category plans for critical packages: gensets, UPS, chillers, switchgear, transformers, prefabricated modules, and low-carbon solutions
- Balance speed-to-market, total cost of ownership, quality, and ESG to support rapid, repeatable campus deployments

2. Strategic Vendor Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
- Proactively identify, qualify, and develop strategic partnerships with OEMs, contractors, and specialist suppliers across APAC and globally
- Lead executive-level vendor engagement to secure allocation, priority slots, and co-innovation on capacity, lead times, and sustainability
- Negotiate framework agreements, MSAs, and capacity reservation deals that de-risk our growth pipeline 3-5 years out

3. Supply Chain Resilience & Risk Management
- Build a robust, diversified supply chain strategy that mitigates single-point failures, geopolitical risk, and logistics bottlenecks
- Implement supplier risk frameworks: financial health, ESG compliance, cyber risk, and business continuity planning
- Drive early supplier involvement in design to unlock value engineering, standardization, and speed

4. Commercial Leadership for Mega Projects
- Partner with Development, Construction, Design, and Finance to align procurement strategy with project phasing, budget, and customer commitments
- Lead high-value, complex tenders and negotiations for greenfield campuses and multi-phase expansions
- Own cost modelling, should-cost analysis, and market intelligence to ensure we buy smart in volatile markets

5. Process, Governance & Performance
- Establish scalable procurement processes, policies, and systems to support 2x–3x growth without losing control or speed
- Define and track KPIs: cost savings/avoidance, lead-time reduction, supplier performance, ESG scorecards
- Champion digital procurement tools, e-sourcing, and data analytics for transparency and decision-making

6. Sustainability & ESG in the Supply Chain
- Embed carbon reduction, Green Mark, and circular economy requirements into sourcing decisions and supplier scorecards
- Partner with vendors on low-GWP refrigerants, embodied carbon tracking, and sustainable packaging/logistics
- Ensure Modern Slavery, conflict minerals, and local content compliance across the supply base

Key Requirements:
- 8+ years strategic procurement/sourcing, with 3+ years in data centres, mission-critical, or large infrastructure so that you understand long-lead MEP equipment, hyperscale standards, and schedule risk
- Proven track record building category strategies and securing capacity in APAC markets so that you know the regional supplier landscape and how to win allocation
- Executive-level negotiation and vendor management with OEMs and Tier-1 contractors so that you can influence at CPO/CEO level to unlock value
- Strong commercial acumen: tendering, MSAs, LOIs, TCO modeling, risk-sharing contracts as we’re committing capital early — your deals must protect us
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related; MBA/CIPS preferred
