We are working with a Singapore-based interior fit-out and design-and-build main contractor specialising in commercial offices, retail, F&B and residential projects, with in-house carpentry/joinery, project management and MEP capabilities in their search for a Quantity Surveyors. 


Key responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, tender submissions, quotations and bills of quantities for interior fit-out and renovation projects.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and review drawings, specifications and tender documents to determine project requirements.
- Source quotations and negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to achieve competitive pricing.
- Prepare tender comparisons and provide recommendations on subcontractor and supplier appointments.
- Manage project budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure projects remain commercially viable.
- Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders and other commercial documentation to clients and consultants.
- Assess and process subcontractor progress claims, variation claims and final accounts.
- Identify, evaluate and manage variations arising from design changes, site conditions and client requirements.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Designers and site teams to monitor project progress, costs and contractual matters.
- Provide value engineering and cost-effective alternatives while maintaining the required design intent, quality and specifications.
- Maintain accurate project cost reports, forecasts and commercial documentation.
- Manage contractual correspondence and highlight potential commercial or contractual risks to management.
- Participate in project and commercial meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers where required.
- Prepare, negotiate and close project final accounts.
- Support the management team on other commercial and cost-related matters as required.

Key qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3–7 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience within Singapore's construction or interior fit-out industry.
- Prior experience with an interior fit-out, renovation, design & build or main contracting company would be highly advantageous.
- Experience handling commercial office, retail, F&B and/or hospitality fit-out projects is preferred.
- Good knowledge of quantity take-off, tendering, procurement, cost control, variation orders, progress claims and final accounts.
- Good understanding of interior construction trades such as carpentry/joinery, ceilings, partitions, flooring, finishes and M&E works.
- Strong commercial awareness with good negotiation and cost-management skills.
- Able to read and interpret construction, architectural and interior design drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with quantity surveying or estimating software would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
- Independent, organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
