We are working very closely with an international Data Centre Operator in seeking a seasoned Manager, Cost Accounting APAC to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and analyzing construction costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and partnering with stakeholders to drive accurate cost accruals and estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain standardized budget templates to track construction costs and perform detailed analysis to identify key drivers of cost variances
- Maintain a complete list of contracts, purchase orders, payment certificates, and change orders to ensure accurate estimation of construction costs
- Support cash flow forecasts by reviewing contract payment milestones and liaising with project teams or relevant departments
- Collaborate with project teams or external vendors to prepare construction costs accruals and estimates based on supportable evidence
- Obtain and maintain asset listings throughout the construction phase to ensure accurate and timely reclassification
- Support internal and external audit requirements involving construction costs accruals, commitments, project costing, and other requirements
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support short-term and long-term capital projects budgets and forecasts
- Streamline and improve accounting systems by partnering with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage reporting processes and establish timelines and milestones
Participate effectively in post-contract cost variances and change control processes

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent from a recognized educational institute
- Professional qualification of CIMA preferred
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in cost controls and project management roles, particularly in the construction industry
- Ability to analyze complex business concepts and documents and strong interest in financial and business applications and concepts
- Strong business partnering, stakeholder management, and good communication skills effectively across all levels
- Ability to apply knowledge in accounting standards to business scenarios and offer practical solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
