We're seeking an exceptional Mechanical Design Director to be part of an international consultancy, leading its critical infrastructure team in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, specializing in data centres. As a key member of its management team, you'll drive technical excellence, innovation, and growth in the region. You'll cover projects in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, with extensive travel (at least 50%) to support our clients and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and expertise in mechanical design for data centre projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and innovative solutions.
- Project Delivery: Lead project teams to deliver complex data centre projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
- Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with key clients and partners.
- Team Management: Mentor and develop a team of mechanical designers and engineers, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Technical Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in mechanical design.

Key Requirements:
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or equivalent certification is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical design for critical infrastructure projects, with a focus on data centres.
- Leadership: Proven track record of technical leadership and management experience in a global consultancy firm.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in mechanical design, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Familiarity with data centre design standards and guidelines (e.g., Uptime Institute, BICSI).
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
