The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, coordinating legal documents, managing contract databases, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of legal operations. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Contract Drafting and Review:
-Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and licensing agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
-Collaborate with general counsel to assess contract terms, risks, and liabilities, providing recommendations for revisions or amendments as needed.
Contract Management:
-Maintain and update contract templates and forms to streamline the contract creation process.
-Manage contract databases and tracking systems to monitor contract status, renewal dates, and key milestones.
Legal Documentation Coordination:
-Assist with the preparation and coordination of legal documents, including agreements, resolutions, and corporate filings.
-Organise and maintain legal files, correspondence, and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Administrative Support:
-Provide administrative assistance to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and arranging travel arrangements.
-Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute materials for legal department meetings and other corporate gatherings.
Compliance and Risk Management:
-Assist in monitoring regulatory changes and updates related to contract law, privacy laws, and industry standards.
-Support compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Job Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree/diploma in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.
-3- 5 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, with a focus on contract management and administration.
-Strong understanding of contract law principles and legal terminology.
-Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
-Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
