We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong MEP expertise to join a dynamic construction team delivering high-value fit-out, refurbishment, and design-and-build projects across the Asia Pacific. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in cost planning, commercial management, and contract administration with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost planning, estimating and measurement for MEP scopes across early-- stage and execution phases.
- Prepare BOQ, tender submissions, cost reports, value engineering proposals, and commercial documentation with clear MEP cost breakdowns.
- Manage contractual and commercial issues including variations, claims, risk assessments, and change control with MEP stakeholders.
- Work closely with project teams, MEP engineers, design partners, and subcontractors to optimise costs and buildability.
- Support monthly progress valuations, interim payments, and final account settlements on MEP works.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
- Mentor junior QS staff and drive best practice in commercial processes.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years’ experience in quantity surveying with significant involvement in large-scale fit-out, refurbishment, or building projects.
- Strong MEP cost knowledge, including systems, installs, and contractor pricing mechanisms.
- Proven experience preparing BOQs, cost plans and managing variations in MEP.
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and familiarity with industry contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, or local standards).
- Proficiency in QS software and MS Office.
