We are partnering with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in their search for an accomplished Senior Principal Quantity Surveyor. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can independently manage projects, lead a team of junior QSs, and ensure high-quality cost and contract management throughout all project stages. The position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, complex developments across various sectors in Singapore and the region.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the full spectrum of pre- and post-contract quantity surveying functions, including cost estimation, tender documentation, procurement strategy, and contract administration.
-Manage and oversee the preparation of Bills of Quantities, tender evaluations, cost plans, value engineering, and budget control reports.
- Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial issues, ensuring adherence to PSSCOC and other relevant standards.
- Oversee the preparation and settlement of final accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely closure.
- Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution.
- Present project updates, financial summaries, and recommendations effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior QS team members, ensuring professional development and quality work output.
- Drive best practices in cost control, contract management, and value optimisation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
- Minimum 18 years of relevant experience, with at least 10 years in a consultancy environment handling large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to handle projects independently and provide leadership across the full QS scope.
- Strong working knowledge of PSSCOC contract administration, including tender preparation, cost management, and final account settlement.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to represent the consultancy in client and project meetings.
- Proficient in relevant software (e.g., CostX, BIM measurement tools, MS Office Suite).
- A team player with strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
