We are seeking a C&S Engineer to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary rail infrastructure design projects across Singapore and the wider Australasian region. This role involves design leadership, stakeholder management, technical oversight, and programme delivery across a variety of transport and energy-related projects. The ideal candidate should bring proven experience in managing teams, coordinating with contractors and sub-consultants, and navigating complex infrastructure challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage design coordination activities on rail, energy, and infrastructure projects.

Supervise technical teams, sub-consultants, and contractors to ensure quality design outcomes and adherence to deadlines.

Drive the management of project scope, timelines, and quality assurance, supporting Project Directors as needed.

Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders to align design intent with project objectives.

Oversee design review processes, including drawings, registers, reports, and technical documentation.

Ensure all deliverables meet Arup’s Quality Management System standards and relevant compliance (ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001).

Provide strategic input into tender submissions, bids, and project reports.

Participate in regional collaboration efforts with other offices across Australasia.

Maintain a safe working environment and promote adherence to OH&S regulations.

Contribute to Arup-wide initiatives and multidisciplinary collaborations.
Key Requirements:

Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.

Proven project experience in rail infrastructure design, preferably in a consulting environment.

Knowledge of Singapore power and substation projects is highly desirable.

Strong grasp of project planning, scheduling, and design management processes.

Familiarity with relevant local legislation, safety standards, and industry guidelines.

Experience reviewing and managing engineering designs and documentation.

Capable of solving complex engineering problems with input from technical specialists.

Professional membership with an accredited institution is preferred (or working towards it).
