We're seeking an experienced Design Manager with a strong background in data center design, mechanical or electrical engineering, and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems. As a Design Manager, you will lead our design team in crafting innovative, efficient, and scalable design solutions for our AI infrastructure platform.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of designers and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure high-quality design outputs
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of data center design principles, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop AI infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our customers
- Drive the development of our data center design standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in HVDC systems, including design, implementation, and testing
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
- Develop and manage design processes, workflows, and tools to ensure efficiency, scalability, and quality
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in data center design, with a focus on mechanical or electrical engineering
- Strong understanding of HVDC systems, including design, implementation, and testing
- Proven track record of leading high-performing design teams and delivering successful design solutions at scale
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
- Ability to navigate complex technical domains, including AI, cloud infrastructure, and data center design
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills
Good to have:
- Experience with data center design software, such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or SketchUp
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including TIA-942, ASHRAE, and NFPA
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience with AI or machine learning applications in data centers
