We are partnering with a global design-and-build firm specialising in retail, workplace, and hospitality fit-out and manufacturing solutions. The team is currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented 3D Designer to join their studio. The ideal candidate will possess strong modelling and visualisation skills, a solid understanding of fit-out and construction processes, and proven experience in managing studio workflows.


Key Responsibilities 
- Create high-quality 3D models, visualisations and renderings (interior and exterior) aligned with brand and project requirements.
- Develop schematic design through to detailed production drawings, ensuring all levels of design are coordinated.
- Work with the project team (PM, TA, joinery/manufacturing, construction) to ensure designs are deliverable, meet budget/time, and meet quality expectations.
- Manage the studio’s design workflow: assigning tasks, tracking deadlines, ensuring quality control of outputs.
- Collaborate with Project Management (PM) and Technical Authority (TA) functions: understand programme, budget, technical constraints and compliance requirements
-Undertake peer reviews of other designers’ work, provide mentorship, uphold design standards.
-Maintain the design asset library (3D models, CAD blocks, textures, finishes), ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Engage with external consultants (lighting, AV, structural, MEP) and fabricators to ensure coordination of design deliverables.
- Monitor and manage changes through design freeze, construction issuance, and hand-over phases.
- Present design visuals and walkthroughs to internal stakeholders and client review meetings.

Key qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Interior Design, Architecture, 3D Design or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a 3D design role within fit-out / interior design / manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in studio management or leading a team of designers (planning workload, delegating, quality reviewing).
- Proficiency in 3D software (e.g., 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, Twinmotion/Unreal) and strong rendering skills.
- Excellent CAD skills for production drawings (AutoCAD/Revit).
- Strong understanding of fit-out construction processes, joinery manufacture, materials & finishes.
- Demonstrable Project Management (PM) skills: ability to track timelines, manage deliverables, work with budgets and move design through to delivery.
-Technical Authority (TA) skills: ability to assess technical feasibility, compliance, coordinate with consultants and joinery/manufacturing teams.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written); able to articulate design intent and technical issues to multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally as required (site visits, client meetings, regional offices).
