We are collaborating with a multi-award-winning interior architecture studio renowned for its refined, contemporary designs across residential, hospitality, and commercial sectors. Known for its timeless aesthetic and holistic design approach, the studio is seeking a Design Director to join its Singapore team.

This leadership role is ideal for a design-focused professional with 15+ years of experience, capable of guiding creative direction while maintaining hands-on involvement in project design and development. The ideal candidate combines conceptual vision with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and is comfortable managing both people and projects across multiple regions.

 

Key Responsibilities

– Lead design direction across a diverse portfolio of hospitality, residential, and commercial projects
– Oversee all stages of design — from concept development to detailed execution and completion
– Inspire, mentor, and guide design teams to deliver innovative, high-quality outcomes
– Collaborate with clients to articulate design intent, ensuring creative alignment and satisfaction throughout the project
– Represent the studio in presentations, client meetings, and design reviews, both locally and abroad
– Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery
– Manage resources, timelines, and design quality across multiple concurrent projects
– Foster a positive, collaborative studio culture, balancing creative excellence with pragmatic project management
– Travel regionally as required for client meetings, site reviews, and project oversight

 

Key Requirements

– 12+ years of professional experience in interior architecture or design, with strong exposure to hospitality and residential projects
– Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline
– Proven track record leading design teams and delivering high-quality, design-driven projects
– Strong conceptual thinking, storytelling ability, and a keen eye for proportion, materiality, and spatial composition
– Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to balance creative direction with business and operational priorities
– Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; Revit familiarity is an advantage
– Comfortable with regional travel for project and client engagement
– Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents preferred
