We are representing a well-regarded interior design consultancy, originally founded in Singapore, that specializes in creating bespoke spaces across commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential sectors. The firm is currently seeking a Business Development Director to lead its sales team in Malaysia.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales plans to enhance market share and profitability, collaborating with the Managing Director to achieve sales targets and analyze financial performance.
- Ensure project management standards meet industry benchmarks, securing competitive pricing and maximizing contract margin.
- Grow and maintain the business portfolio by identifying new market opportunities and high-potential clients, while implementing effective sales strategies.
- Collaborate with Interior Designers, marketing teams, and contractors for resource needs, and prepare proposals and tender submissions.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key requirements
- 5–8 years' experience in business development (interior design or related fields)
- Strong in tender submissions, budgeting, and client acquisition
- Excellent presentation & communication skills
