Our client is an established real estate investment and operating platform is seeking a Director, Asset Management to lead and drive portfolio performance across its assets. This individual will provide strategic leadership across asset management, development management, and leasing functions, ensuring value maximisation throughout the asset lifecycle.
The role requires a commercially driven leader with deep real estate expertise, strong financial acumen, and the ability to align multi-disciplinary teams to deliver superior returns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for asset management, development, and leasing teams across the portfolio.
- Formulate and execute asset-level and portfolio-wide strategies to optimise income, value creation, and exit outcomes.
- Develop and oversee annual business plans, budgets, and performance targets.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape portfolio strategy and capital allocation decisions.
- Drive operational and financial performance of assets, including NOI growth, cost optimisation, and yield enhancement.
- Identify and execute value-add initiatives including repositioning, AEIs, redevelopment, and change-of-use strategies.
- Oversee performance monitoring, reporting, and investor communications.
- Lead hold/sell analyses and support divestment processes.
- Provide strategic oversight across development and redevelopment projects from feasibility through completion.
- Review development underwriting, budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure alignment between development outcomes and long-term asset strategies.
- Guide leasing strategy including tenant mix optimisation, anchor negotiations, and market positioning.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 8-15 years of experience in asset management, real estate private equity, REITs, or property development platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong financial modelling and investment analysis capability.
- Proven track record in value creation and portfolio performance optimisation.
