We are partnering with a dynamic design and build consultancy specialising in interiors, exhibitions, environmental graphics, and experiential projects across commercial, cultural, and institutional sectors. As the studio continues to expand its project portfolio, it is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its Singapore team and oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of project delivery.
This role is ideal for an experienced contracts professional with strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, and experience in interior fit-out, exhibitions, or thematic project environments.
Key Responsibilities
– Review tender documentation and contract requirements to ensure clarity and compliance
– Prepare tender submissions including cost estimates, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis
– Lead and guide the QS / commercial team on contractual matters, claims, and cost management
– Develop and maintain standard contract templates aligned with company objectives
– Review and manage contract terms to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies
– Oversee contract execution, variations, amendments, and audits across projects
– Analyse contractual risks and lead negotiations on variations, claims, and dispute resolution
– Provide commercial and contractual advice on procurement strategies and project delivery
– Build strong working relationships across design, project, and production teams
– Lead team development including training, mentoring, and performance management
– Improve tender success rates, commercial processes, and operational efficiency
– Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and project file management
Exhibition / Thematic Project Responsibilities
– Prepare cost estimates for exhibition fabrication, showcases, scenic works, graphics, and interactive installations
– Coordinate with design and production teams to evaluate materials, fabrication methods, and buildability
– Source and manage quotations from specialist vendors including AV, lighting, multimedia, and graphics suppliers
– Monitor fabrication, production, and installation costs for both temporary and permanent exhibition projects
Key Requirements
– Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines
– 7–9 years of experience in contract management, preferably within interior fit-out, exhibitions, or thematic projects
– Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, cost control, and commercial management
– Experience in events, exhibitions, museums, galleries, or experiential environments is highly advantageous
– Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and guide teams
– Excellent communication and report-writing capabilities
– Independent, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility
Skills & Competencies
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
– Experience with PlanSwift and Adobe Acrobat
– Familiarity with BIM tools is a plus
– Strong negotiation, conflict management, and problem-solving skills
– Good understanding of documentation processes and contract administration
– Interest in interior design, exhibitions, or experiential environments is advantageous
