We are looking for an experienced Data Centre Operations Manager / Director to lead the day-to-day management of a mission-critical data centre facility for a high-profile digital infrastructure organisation. In this role, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team of in-house and vendor staff, including facilities engineers and data centre technicians, ensuring operational excellence, system uptime, and service continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and scale a data centre operations team responsible for maintenance and operational uptime of critical infrastructure and server hardware
• Collaborate closely with regional and global teams across networking, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and tooling to ensure seamless operations
• Develop engineers and technicians through mentorship, training, and performance management
• Drive a strong operational culture centered on ownership, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Standardize and implement consistent operating procedures across regional sites
• Oversee daily operations, change management, and incident response, ensuring full compliance with established processes
• Own and lead mid-sized projects from concept to implementation, including stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination
• Review and prioritize ticket queues, maintenance schedules, and site interventions
• Define specifications for operational tooling, automation, monitoring, and data-driven decision-making
• Build and maintain staffing plans, on-call schedules, and vendor management workflows
• Provide regular reporting and insights to regional operations leadership
• Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and SOPs that align with industry best practices and internal SLAs
• Contribute to short- and long-term strategy for site operations and business continuity
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years in technical operations management, preferably in mission-critical environments
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a data centre or critical infrastructure setting
• Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing technical teams and vendor partners
• Demonstrated success managing infrastructure operations and project delivery within defined KPIs
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within data centre environments
• Experience with capacity planning, incident response, and compliance-driven environments
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills
