We are representing a well-established interior design consultancy, originally founded in Singapore, renowned for creating bespoke environments across the commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential sectors. The firm is currently seeking an Intermediate Designer with strong proficiency in BIM (Revit) to join their dynamic team.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the development of design concepts, space planning, and presentations that align with client objectives and overall project goals.
- Translate approved design concepts into comprehensive technical drawings and BIM models using Revit with a high degree of accuracy and independence.
- Prepare layout plans and construction documentation to ensure design precision and buildability.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Designer and Design Manager throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to clarify requirements, communicate design intent, and gather constructive feedback.
- Coordinate with Project Management and Quantity Surveyor teams on costing, detailing, and technical feasibility.
- Conduct site visits and support inspection activities to ensure on-site execution aligns with design intent and quality standards.
- Maintain and update the BIM model library, drawings, and project documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Assist in material sourcing and sample selection, liaising with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations and technical details.
- Stay informed on emerging design trends, materials, and BIM technologies to continually enhance design efficiency and innovation.
- Perform ad-hoc design-related tasks and contribute to the team’s culture of continuous improvement.
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in interior design, ideally within the corporate, commercial, or hospitality sectors.
- Proficient in Revit (BIM), with the ability to independently develop and manage project drawings without a BIM coordinator’s support.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong grasp of space planning, detailing, and material application, with an eye for design precision and constructability.
- Familiarity with local regulations, submission requirements, and building codes in Singapore.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Creative, proactive, and adaptable, demonstrating a passion for continuous learning and design excellence.
- Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
- Must be able to work on-site at client locations or at the office as required (within Singapore).
- Submission of a portfolio and BIM (Revit) work samples is required for consideration.
