We are seeking a skilled and experienced M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Quantity Surveyor to join our team at a leading real estate solutions provider specializing in smart, eco-sustainable and future-ready developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for M&E systems in industrial and commercial projects
- Conduct quantity take-offs for mechanical and electrical components from drawings and specifications
- Evaluate tenders from subcontractors and suppliers, preparing cost comparisons and summaries
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying potential cost savings
- Prepare and negotiate variation orders and claims related to M&E works
- Assist in the preparation of monthly progress claims and final accounts
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams to optimize M&E solutions for cost-effectiveness and sustainability
- Provide commercial advice on contractual matters related to M&E systems
- Contribute to risk assessment and value engineering processes for M&E components
- Maintain accurate project cost records and prepare regular cost reports
Key Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems, particularly in industrial and commercial buildings
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with green building standards and sustainable M&E solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in calculations and reporting
