The team is seeking experienced Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to join its Data Centre Operations team in Johor, Malaysia. As an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of our hyperscale data centre facilities. Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Engineer:
- Design, install, and commission electrical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and distribution panels.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on operations.
- Develop and implement electrical maintenance plans, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate electrical risks.

Mechanical Engineer:
- Design, install, and commission mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, and plumbing.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on operations.
- Develop and implement mechanical maintenance plans, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate mechanical risks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and implementation of data centre operations policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, including monitoring, maintenance, and repairs.
- Analyze data centre performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, preferably in a data centre or similar mission-critical environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience with data centre operations, maintenance, and repair.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942).
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and data centre
- infrastructure management (DCIM) tools.
