We are partnering with a globally recognized commercial real estate services firm that provides comprehensive property, facilities, project management, leasing, and advisory services across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. The firm is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of its network infrastructure across multiple properties and asset portfolios, with this role based in Thailand.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers and wireless systems across multiple sites.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure high availability and redundancy for critical systems.
- Collaborate with IT, facilities management and service providers to deploy network solutions that support building services, vendor systems, IoT sensors, and smart infrastructure.
- Ensure network security by applying best practices: IDS/IPS, access controls, segmentation, vulnerability management and compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations and expansions; document architecture changes, configurations and network diagrams.
- Provide 3rd line support and escalation for complex network incidents, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve root-cause issues.
- Maintain inventory of network hardware and licences, negotiate with vendors, and assist in procurement of network equipment and services.
- Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network services, ensuring backup connectivity and failover strategies are effective.
Key qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant network engineering experience, preferably within a multi-site property, facilities management or real estate services environment.
- Solid expertise in network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), security appliances (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS) and network monitoring tools.
- Strong experience in network design, implementation and troubleshooting in complex environments with multiple stakeholders and property systems.
- Good understanding of network security standards, protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and architecture best practices.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical teams (IT, facilities, vendors).
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, able to work independently and handle urgent network issues, whilst maintaining documentation and change control.
