We are currently representing a renowned hospitality brand with an APAC presence, known for its exceptional service, functional and aesthetically pleasing accommodations, and innovative design. As part of its strategic expansion plan in Japan and Korea, the team is seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of hotel development projects in the region. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future growth and success of our brand in two dynamic markets.

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of hotel development projects in Japan and Korea, from conception to completion. This role requires strong mechanical engineering expertise, as well as experience in hotel room fit-out and construction management. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets for hotel development projects in Japan and Korea.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including design, construction, and operations teams, to define project requirements and objectives.
- Oversee the selection and engagement of external consultants, contractors, and vendors for design, engineering, and construction activities.

Mechanical Engineering Expertise:
- Provide technical expertise in mechanical systems design and engineering for hotel projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Review and approve mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with brand standards and local regulations.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize mechanical system layouts and specifications for efficiency and sustainability.

Hotel Room Fit-Out and Interior Design:
- Manage the procurement, installation, and fit-out of hotel guest rooms and public spaces, including furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
- Work closely with interior designers, FF&E suppliers, and procurement teams to ensure that design concepts are executed according to brand standards and guest expectations.
- Monitor quality control and conduct site inspections to ensure that FF&E installations meet design specifications and quality standards.

Construction Management and Site Supervision:
- Oversee construction activities on-site, including progress monitoring, contractor coordination, and quality assurance.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; professional engineering license (PE) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on hospitality or commercial real estate development.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design and engineering principles, with experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Demonstrated experience in hotel room fit-out and interior design, including FF&E procurement and installation.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in Japanese and basic English is required; proficiency in Korean is a plus.
