We are currently working closely with a Data Centre operator, aiming to bring on board an experienced Senior Manager, Tax to strengthen the team. The ideal candidate will take charge of managing tax compliance across various regions in APAC, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize tax strategies.


Job Responsibilities: 
-Manage the overall tax matters in the region, which includes tax compliance and hands-on preparation work relating to direct and indirect tax returns.
-Implementation of regional tax processes and policies.
-Support quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provision reporting for APAC entities including directing and reviewing local tax packages.
-Manage and/or support all APAC tax audits with foreign legislative and administrative authorities, interact directly and handle discussions with external auditors and tax/legal advisors as needed.
-Review and identify tax issues in the region and develop resolutions to resolve the tax issues identified. 
-Work cross-functionally and across regions to provide clear, consistent, and comprehensive tax guidance to support business deals, business integration and initiatives for efficient tax structuring. 
-Review and maintain the transfer pricing policy and documentation.
-Develop an overall tax strategy to mitigate any tax risks and optimize opportunities
-Advise on tax withholding and information reporting requirements, mitigate adverse tax impacts and PE issues.
-Monitor tax developments across the relevant jurisdictions, as well as legislative, tax and regulatory changes on the domestic and international fronts their implications and provide tax planning direction.
-Identify and lead any new tax exemption/incentive/subsidy to support the business initiatives in the region.
-Undertake special assignment, ad hoc assignment & related duties as and when necessary.

Job Requirements: 
-Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Taxation or equivalent from a recognised educational institute. 
-Minimum 8 years of comprehensive tax experience in Big 4 and/or commercial industry. APAC tax exposure is preferred.
-Professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant, CPA and Accredited Tax Practitioner preferred.
-Strong business partnering, stakeholder management and good communication skills effectively across all levels.
-Able to apply knowledge in accounting standards to business scenarios and offer practical solutions
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
