We are currently representing an international hyperscale Data Centre Operator to look for aa BMS Control Application Engineer. Based in its Johor data center and reporting to the Systems Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for all BMS-related technical matters—leading discussions, clarifications, and negotiations on system requirements. You’ll own the Building Management System (BMS) lifecycle across new and existing facilities, from design through warranty and into steady-state operations.


Key Responsibilities:
- Own the BMS lifecycle: design, integration, testing (including Factory & Site Acceptance Tests), installation, commissioning, and warranty for new and retrofit projects.
- Keep the plant running: liaise daily with contractors on BMS operations and preventive maintenance; ensure instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems deliver maximum uptime.
- Drive performance: monitor the performance database, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions; lead fault-finding, root-cause analysis, and rapid recovery during breakdowns.
- Enable data-driven ops: support real-time dashboards for capacity loading; help build/optimize CMMS to sharpen TCO forecasting, budgeting, purchasing, and cost control for the Critical Facilities team.
- Codify excellence: draft, review, and revise key ops documents—emergency procedures, SOPs, project tender specs, and change management frameworks.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, or Building Services Engineering.
- 3–5+ years’ hands-on experience with BMS/EPMS/FMCS (data center or other mission-critical environments preferred).
- Solid cross-disciplinary knowledge: mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control, fire protection, and security systems.
- Comfortable with Excel/Word plus BMS/EPMS, CMMS/DCIM, ERP, and Microsoft BI tools.
- Strong analytical mindset—excellent problem solver with proven root-cause analysis.
