We are working closely with an international hyperscale Data Centre Operator to look for a Senior BMS Engineer. You’ll safeguard design integrity, keep the platform rock-solid, and turn operational data into performance gains—while coaching the next generation of BMS engineers. If you thrive where uptime is non-negotiable and complexity is the norm, this is your seat at the table.

Key Responsibilities:
System architecture & technical leadership
- Serve as the go-to expert for BMS architecture, configuration, and integration campus-wide.
- Lead design reviews, validate system configurations, and set integration strategies for new builds and retrofits.
- Mentor BMS engineers, raise the technical bar, and embed best practices, standards, and governance that stick.
Project & system integration
- Drive BMS deliverables on data centre projects—design review, integration planning, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and clean handovers.
- Align with project teams, integrators, and vendors on monitoring points, alarm logic, and control strategies that actually work in the field.
- Ensure seamless interoperability with CPOS, DCIM, EPMS, fire, and other OT platforms.
Operational reliability & troubleshooting
- Lead investigations into complex faults, failures, and abnormal conditions; own resolution end-to-end.
- Run deep-dive root cause analyses and implement corrective/preventive actions that improve resilience.
- Tune alarm logic, monitoring strategies, and interlocks to keep operations safe, efficient, and predictable.
Performance monitoring & optimization
- Mine operational data for trends and opportunities—cooling plant performance, energy use, capacity utilization.
- Champion optimization initiatives and help shape real-time dashboards and analytics that operators trust.
- Validate monthly operational reports (internal CFM team or external partners) and client-facing data packs.
Governance, documentation & stakeholder coordination
- Build and maintain crisp documentation: SOPs, emergency procedures, control sequences, point databases, and architectural records.
- Run change governance for upgrades, configuration tweaks, and software releases.
- Act as the key technical liaison with BMS vendors/integrators—review proposals, challenge technical submissions, and support vendor performance evaluations alongside the System & Control Manager.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, Mechatronics, or Building Services Engineering.
- 6–8+ years in BMS/EPMS/FMCS or industrial control systems, ideally in data centres or other mission-critical facilities.
- Deep fluency in BMS architecture, control integration, and hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and fire protection systems.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers/technical teams; comfortable managing multiple stakeholders.
- Familiar with BMS/EPMS platforms, DCIM, CMMS, and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record in root cause analysis and turning findings into fixes.
