Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to join their
management team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the REIT and its Manager, and the Business Trust and its Trustee-Manager adhere to all regulatory requirements set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the Singapore Exchange (SGX), and other relevant authorities.

You will navigate the intersection of complex real estate transactions and the operational nuances of hotel management across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with the Securities and Futures Act
(SFA), Securities and Futures Regulations, the Code on Collective Investment
Schemes (Property Funds Appendix), Business Trusts Act (BTA), Business Trust Regulations, and SGX Listing Rules.
- Licensing & Reporting: Manage the Capital Markets Services (CMS) License
requirements and handle all regulatory filings, including representative notifications
and annual returns.
- Policy Development: Draft, implement, and update internal compliance manuals,
including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Countering the Financing of Terrorism
(CFT), and Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) policies.
- Conflict Management: Monitor and manage Interested Person Transactions (IPTs)
and ensure proper disclosure and benchmarking for hospitality-related service
agreements.
- Advisory: Act as the primary point of contact for the Board and business units
regarding the regulatory impact of new acquisitions, divestments, or hospitality
management contracts.
- Cross-Border Regulatory Alignment: Monitor and ensure compliance with local
property laws and hotel licensing requirements  (e.g., Hotel Act) and
various European jurisdictions (e.g., GDPR, local tax residency rules).
- Tax Compliance Coordination: Work with tax advisors to ensure compliance with
Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) pillars and local VAT/GST requirements for
hospitality services in Europe and Asia.
- ESG & Sustainability Reporting: Manage disclosures related to the EU Taxonomy
and the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) for European assets,
integrating these into the REIT’s annual Sustainability Report in Singapore.
- Training: Conduct regular compliance training for staff to foster a culture of integrity
and awareness.
- Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and external auditors during compliance
reviews and implement any necessary remedial actions.

Key Requirements:
- Education Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of compliance experience within a MAS-regulated entity
preferred.
- Strong understanding of the SFA, FBA, BTA, Securities and Futures Regulations, Business Trust Regulations, Code on Collective Investment Schemes (Property Funds Appendix), and SGX-ST Listing Manual.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legal jargon
into actionable business advice.
- High level of integrity, strong communication skills, and the ability to work
independently.
