Our partner, an established hospitality owner-operator, is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the overall performance and operations of a flagship hotel property. The role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team leadership across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure the hotel operates in line with corporate policies, operational standards, and service procedures.
- Drive initiatives to enhance guest experience, service offerings, and product positioning.
- Oversee the implementation of marketing, promotional, and commercial initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, revenue plans, and operational cost structures.
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps or variances.
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining operational efficiency and service quality.
- Prepare and review financial reports, investment proposals, and operational updates for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and audit requirements.
- Lead and manage Department Heads and operational teams across all hotel functions.
- Coordinate manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and staff development initiatives.
- Provide leadership guidance to department leaders to ensure efficient coordination of daily operations.
- Oversee staff performance reviews, training, and capability development.
- Step in to support departmental responsibilities when required.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, employment laws, and fire safety requirements.
- Maintain strong working relationships with regulatory bodies and relevant authorities.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and brand standards.
- Oversee preparation of monthly operational and financial reports.
- Ensure proper administration of financial documentation, invoices, and operational records.
- Review and justify operational or financial deviations where necessary.
- Act as the final escalation point for complex guest or operational issues.
- Lead and represent the property in internal and external stakeholder meetings.
- Safeguard the corporate brand reputation and service standards.
Key Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in hotel operations management, ideally as a General Manager or Hotel Manager.
- Strong understanding of hospitality operations, financial management, and team leadership.
- Experience managing multi-department hotel operations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
