We are seeking a highly skilled Facility Manager to oversee the operations of our data center. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in facility management, particularly within data center environments, and a strong background in bid management. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the data center, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and manage maintenance programs for all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, and security systems.
- Lead the bid management process for facility services, including preparation, submission, and evaluation of bids.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop competitive bidding strategies that align with business objectives.
- Develop and manage the facility budget, ensuring effective cost control measures are in place.
- Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain safety standards within the facility.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers.
- Lead a team of facility staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management within a data center environment.
- Proven experience in bid management processes.
- Strong understanding of data center operations, including critical infrastructure systems.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
