We are partnering up with a private equity–backed real estate operating platform in a specialised asset class to look for a General Manager or COO equivalent to take ownership of day-to-day business, full P&L and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- P&L & Business Leadership: Drive revenue growth, cost control, and overall profitability; manage budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs.
- Investor & Board Engagement: Report to the CEO, Board, and investors; provide transparent, disciplined updates on performance and strategic initiatives.
- Operations & Platform Management: Oversee the full suite of real estate products; optimise utilisation, pricing, and customer experience; support new sites and growth initiatives.
- Systems & Processes: Implement and improve operational systems, SOPs, and controls to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and align multi-disciplinary teams; establish clear roles, accountability, and performance standards.
- Strategy Execution: Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes; identify opportunities to improve revenue and operational performance.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 15+ years in real estate, self-storage, logistics, industrial, or operationally intensive property platforms; proven P&L ownership at a senior leadership level.
- Skills: Commercial and financial acumen, strategic thinking, operational excellence, and people leadership; experience in PE-backed or investor-driven environments.
- Attributes: High accountability, results-oriented, pragmatic, credible with senior stakeholders and investors.
