Our client, a well-established property owner and developer with a strong portfolio of commercial assets, is seeking an experienced Facilities / Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a key commercial property. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a proactive professional with a strong focus on operational excellence, tenant satisfaction, and building upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure the building remains in satisfactory and serviceable condition.
- Oversee and manage operational areas including security, cleaning, landscaping, waste management, irrigation systems, carpark operations, building defects, and repairs.
- Monitor and control the use of common amenities and facilities within the building.
- Ensure all building components are serviced regularly by term contractors according to schedule and scope of work.
- Carry out routine inspections to maintain cleanliness, proper signage, and overall upkeep of building and carpark areas.
- Assist in the preparation and control of operating and capital expenditure budgets.
- Inspect fire protection systems and facilities regularly to ensure proper functionality.
- Plan and execute regular fire drills to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Liaise with tenants, the public, and relevant authorities on improvement works and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in contract administration and procurement of goods and services while maintaining accurate records and documentation related to building operations and contractors.
- Build and maintain strong tenant relationships, respond promptly to feedback, and attend to emergencies, including after office hours.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Building Management & Services or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer-service oriented with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
- Able to work independently while being an effective team player.
