We are working with a well known renewable infrastructure REIT seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Investment to lead our investment team in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in renewable energy infrastructure assets in Japan and potentially Asia-Pacific. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our REIT, with a focus on solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects.


Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement investment strategies and policies to drive the growth of our renewable energy portfolio
- Lead the investment team in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in renewable energy infrastructure assets
- Conduct financial and technical due diligence on potential investments, including financial modeling, risk analysis, and asset assessment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including asset management, finance, and legal teams, to ensure successful deal execution and portfolio management
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including greenfield and brownfield projects, and M&A transactions
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, sponsors, and financial institutions
- Monitor and report on market trends, regulatory developments, and industry outlook to inform investment decisions
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the management team and board of directors
- Manage and develop a team of investment professionals

Key Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in investment banking, asset management, or a related field, with a focus on renewable energy or infrastructure or Real estate investments
- Proven track record of successful investment execution and portfolio management in the renewable energy sector
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience in financial due diligence and deal structuring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with diverse stakeholders
- Fluency in Japanese and English, with strong presentation and negotiation skills
- MBA or equivalent degree from a top-tier university
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, or equivalent) are a plus
- Experience in the Japanese renewable energy market and familiarity with local regulations and market practices
- Network of relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, including developers, sponsors, and financial institutions
- Experience in managing and leading a team of investment professionals
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, and energy storage
