We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations Site Lead to oversee all aspects of operational excellence, maintenance delivery, and critical systems management within a Tier III data centre environment. This role requires strong leadership in managing multi-skilled engineering teams, ensuring uptime reliability, and maintaining compliance with industry, statutory, and client standards.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in M&E systems, proven experience in critical facility management, and the ability to lead both in-house teams and vendors to deliver operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage site operations, including recruitment, motivation, training, and development of operations and maintenance teams.

Oversee and ensure compliance with KPI and uptime performance standards.

Deliver preventive and reactive maintenance programs through the CMMS platform within approved budgets and timelines.

Conduct site reviews covering maintenance quality, equipment replacement, risk management, and Tier adherence.

Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and compliance across all activities and vendor operations.

Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, driving continuous improvement through corrective action plans.

Participate in daily operations meetings, monthly performance reviews, and quarterly business reviews with the client.

Support the Data Centre Operations Manager and Client Critical Facilities Manager on all engineering and facilities-related matters.

Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation and asset management records.

Support statutory compliance requirements and certification renewals for the site.

Act as an escalation point for critical incidents—leading technical troubleshooting, resolution, and reporting processes.
Key Requirements
-
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Operational Engineering (or equivalent).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical and mechanical operations within Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.

Proven experience managing vendors, maintenance programs, and risk mitigation processes.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.

Familiarity with CMMS systems, incident management protocols, and asset management frameworks.

Relevant Data Centre or Facilities Management certifications are highly desirable.
