We’re seeking a highly dedicated and proactive Data Center Operations Specialist to be the frontline guardian of our critical infrastructure. In this 24x7 role, you’ll ensure seamless operations, swift incident response, and impeccable customer service, directly contributing to the continuous performance and resilience that defines Nxera.


Key Responsibilities:
- Be the primary responder for all data center incidents, swiftly assessing criticality, impact, and SLA requirements, and escalating to 2nd/3rd level support with precision.
- Lead Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises, acting as the crucial first-level incident responder to minimize disruption and maintain service uptime.
- Provide vital "remote hands" support, executing critical tasks such as media management, visual inspections, device reboots, equipment staging, and meticulous physical connectivity checks (HDDs, network cabling, SFP insertion).
- Master inventory management: meticulously handling equipment movement, precise asset tagging, labeling, and tracking to maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory.
- Proactively monitor all data center facility infrastructure events, ensuring the optimal operation of critical systems including UPS, power, temperature, humidity, and water detection sensors.
- Guarantee the flawless functioning of all DC supporting infrastructure, including our Environment Monitoring System (EMS), Access Control Systems, and Electronic Visitation Management System.
- Meticulously update and maintain DC-related documentation, generating essential reports to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Champion timely technical issue resolution by expertly coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring exceptional customer support.
- Uphold the highest standards of operational integrity by strictly adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Methods of Procedure (MOPs), - Emergency Response Procedures (ERPs), and formal change control processes.
- Orchestrate critical maintenance and shutdown activities for electrical and mechanical systems, working hand-in-hand with our trusted vendors.
- Drive the incident closure process, including thorough Root Cause Analysis, and initiate necessary change requests or customer notifications for service maintenance.
- Liaise directly with internal and external customers, ensuring all contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently met and exceeded.
- Manage access clearance duties and contribute actively to various special projects as required.

Key Requirements:
- A Diploma in Electrical & Electronics, Computer & Communications Engineering, Information & Digital Technologies, or an equivalent technical education (e.g., ITE), coupled with at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing 24x7 data center operations.
- Robust technical and functional knowledge of data center infrastructure, encompassing electrical and mechanical systems, fire detection and protection, building management systems, equipment maintenance, space planning, and critical facilities construction.
- Exceptional communication skills: The ability to convey complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively in both verbal and written forms.
