We are representing a well-regarded regional Real Estate Investment Trust in seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our team as the Sustainability Manager(Property Management). In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in optimizing best practices in regards to ESG and being the subject matter expert. Key Description 

• Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with the organisation’s and Group’s ESG targets.
• Lead the preparation and submission of relevant ESG reporting and disclosure requirements for the organisation.
• Collaborate with procurement team to assess and enhance the sustainability of the supply chain, including development of Green Procurement Policies and working with suppliers/vendors to promote sustainable sourcing and practices.
• Monitor and identify trends and anomalies in utilities consumption across the portfolio to ensure that utilities consumption meet the organisation’s target baseline.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, evaluate and recommend sustainable technologies for implementation to improve operation and cost efficiency within the organisation.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and tenants, to promote sustainability initiatives.
• Support the organisation’s renewable energy projects in terms of drafting of specifications, procurement and project management.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for sustainability initiatives (e.g. Green Loans) and monitor the performance of the organisation in meeting these KPIs.
• Regularly monitor, evaluate, and report on the progress of sustainability programs.
• Develop and monitor OPEX and CAPEX budgets for sustainability initiatives.

Job Specifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field.
• Certification in sustainability (e.g. Green Mark, ISSP, LEED)
• Strong project management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and standards for REITs and real estate sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical skills for assessing environmental impact and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRESB, ISSB, GRI, etc.).
• Proven experience in sustainability management, with a focus on strategy development and implementation.
• Experience in conducting life cycle assessments and environmental audits.
• Familiarity with Carbon Market, RECs will be advantageous.
