We are currently working with an established Data Centre Operator to look for a VP, Data Center Operations in Japan, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our data center facilities. As a leadership position, you'll be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, driving operational excellence, and fostering a collaborative culture across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and manage a team of data center operations personnel, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring 24/7 availability and reliability, and implementing operational best practices to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance activities, respond promptly to issues or emergencies, and develop emergency operating procedures (EOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Capacity Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current and future capacity needs, developing strategies for scaling data center infrastructure.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to data center security and operations.

Key Requirements:
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Proven experience in data center operations, with at least 7+ years in a leadership role, and deep knowledge of data center/mission critical infrastructure.
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Japanese and English
